Dear Owners,
Some updates regarding the building:
- Diamond Dispute: We are still in discussions with Diamond
regarding the issues we’ve faced. Unfortunately, they have only offered to refund us $15,000, which is not satisfactory given the circumstances.
We are continuing to push for a fair resolution. As part of our 60-year
recertification, it’s crucial that we use licensed contractors approved by the engineer. Please be aware that we are adhering strictly to these
requirements to ensure everything is done correctly.
Therefore, we cannot use Diamond. We are waiting to receive legal communication
from the law office in this regard, once we have it will transmit it to
everyone.
- Clark Elevators: We are still in a dispute with Clark
Elevators. Initially, they informed us that parts were unavailable and
would take a long time to procure. However, when we followed up, they came and stopped one of the elevators, which we believe was done as a form of sabotage.
Fortunately, Comfort has already sourced the
necessary parts and will be updating both elevators. The process will take approximately one month per elevator.
- Intercom System: We currently have two proposals for the
intercom system, but both are quite expensive. Irene is in the process of
securing a third proposal. The existing intercoms are more than 20 years old and require significant repairs. Additionally, we have discovered
seven invoices, totaling $15,000, for repairs that were never completed.
We are investigating this matter further.
- Laundry Machines: There was an oversight, and it was
discovered that the contract with the laundry company had not expired.
We are still working with them and have arranged for new machines to be fabricated for us. We are optimistic that they will be delivered and installed before the end of the year (October).
We are committed to resolving these issues as efficiently as possible and will keep you updated on any further developments.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
