Architectural Modification Request 

Welcome to Island Place at North Bay Village Association!

To ensure a smooth processing of your application, kindly submit the necessary supporting documents listed below, if applicable:

  1. Total dimensions of the proposed project (if applicable), including square footage.
  2. A comprehensive list and description of materials to be used, specifying manufacturer, color, and model.
  3. If applicable, include a plat showing property boundaries with the area of the proposed alteration drawn on it.
  4. Submit a diagram, elevation, and/or illustration of the proposed project if applicable.
  5. If a contractor is involved, please provide a copy of the contractor’s work license and certificate of insurance.

Failure to submit these items may result in delays or denial of your application.

Additionally, be aware that the following factors may cause delays or lead to the denial of your application:

  1. Unpaid account balance.
  2. Incomplete electronic signatures from all homeowners on the Deed.
  3. Illegible or incompatible uploaded documents.
  4. Failure to provide the required documents mentioned above.
  5. If a contractor is being used, ensure their insurance or bond is up-to-date, and their license is valid.

Important Reminders:

  • Submitting and paying for this application does not grant permission to start, nor does it guarantee approval. Approval will be determined by the volunteer Board of Directors or their designated committee after reviewing your application.
  • If you are employing a contractor, proof of their licensing and insurance is mandatory.
  • All construction costs for the project are the responsibility of the homeowner.
  • All future maintenance costs, including repairs resulting from incidents such as a tree falling from common grounds, are the homeowner’s responsibility, even if the tree did not fall from the homeowner’s property.
