Today, we proudly join our neighbors in commemorating 80 years since the founding of North Bay Village—a remarkable milestone in the history of our unique island community. On August 1, 1945, our village was officially incorporated, transforming a stretch of tranquil Biscayne Bay into the vibrant, connected community we know and love.
From just a handful of homes in the early 1940s to today’s dynamic city spread across three beautiful islands, North Bay Village has grown with purpose—and Island Place at North Bay Village is proud to be part of that story. As one of the most iconic residential communities on the island, we stand as a testament to the resilience, unity, and vision that define our home.
If you’ve driven along the Kennedy Causeway, you’ve likely seen the celebratory banners waving with pride—they mark the legacy we all share. And the celebration doesn’t stop there! This October, join us at Vogel Park for the official 80th Anniversary celebration. We can’t wait to celebrate this momentous occasion with our neighbors, residents, and the entire North Bay Village family.
